unnecessary pain

dying inside
from the poison they've spilled
words cut like knives, they hurt, kill
across wrists blades easily glide
broken inside but outside we hide.
empty spaces the pain tries to fill
leaving more damage with each swallowed pill
in who can we confide?

sitting here tears stream down their face
as hurtful words fill their minds with hate
help a brother or sister along the way,
without help its death they'll embrace
before you know it could be too late
that kid that had been bullied could be gone today.
