The Unknown Paths

Fri, 02/03/2023 - 23:01 -- jsixel

The stories of our lives

are all broken -

our paths are crooked,

a tree has fallen,

the ruts and dips catch us -

no sign of caution.

We look ahead for hope afar,

disappointed to see

a low, low bar.

And from behind,

the wind blows strong,

pushing us on and on and on.

Rough hands grab us, push and pull,

the laughter of a story unknown.

So, let's not treat others based

on their paths,

but rather on the goodness of their actions,

and the heart one has.

For we may never know

another's path in full-

where their story has been

or where it will lead,

but we now have a hand

in how it can read.
