I had an emotional day today

A beautiful soul went to heaven to stay.

I was blessed to have known you

But I know your spirit will continue.

 

I’m surrounded by the beautiful ocean

So calm and peaceful, I’m full of emotion.

The waves crashing quietly

And the birds singing silently.

 

You gained your angelic wings

And now I sit here to see what life brings.

I don’t know what to do

Because you were the only person I turned too.

 

I’m honoured to have had you in my life

But I know your my future spiritual guide.

Nothing stopped me when I prayed

But look what God gained.

 

So many memories left behind

And tears that were cried.

Everyday I miss you

If only you knew.

 

You gave me so much in life

And always there with the advice.

What am I going to do now

Please thank yourself and take a bow.

 

I’m on my spiritual route

Hoping to find you.

Maybe we’ll meet someday

I can’t wait, I have to say.

 

When I’m feeling low

Please allow your spiritual light to glow.

I know you’ll be there 

To draw so near.

 

As the years pass by

I still ask the question why.

I know my grief for you will never end

But I’m finding it easier to comprehend.

 

I know we’ll never be apart

Because you will always be in my heart.

Your physical presence isn’t here

But your spirit is still there.

 

Thank you for coming nearer

But it’s your voice I long to hear.

Keep guiding and watching over me

And save a space for me on your knee.
