Throughout a lifetime,

I learn that the most angelic person

I’d ever met could be the death of me,

but the vile heart they hold is hidden deep

in the vessels and layers of skin.

The lust of his words tightened me down

to a way I’d never escape

until I began to searched for the right answer,

for it isn’t easy to fight against an enchanting beauty

that pulls me in like a string being snapped out of a coat.

The lies all piece in, turning to something horrific

until I realize that I was the fool.

Everyone told me I should stray from his presence,

but i’d never listen.

In the end, I lost the greatest things most precious to me.
