Two Girls
Location
The movie starts playing and the popcorn is hot,
Candles are lit and the front door is locked.
We're lying together with her head on my chest,
My heart mere beats from cardiac arrest.
I have not seen her in what seems like ages,
I question her reality like bible book pages.
But here she lies wrapped up in my arms,
Our attraction so strong I didnt need my charms.
She lifts up her head to look me in the eye,
Her arm under the covers I now know why.
As I lean forward to give her a kiss,
I hope to myself that Im ready for this.
Some years later I'm in front of a crowd,
The keys from the piano seem unusually loud.
The outfit Im wearing cost $300 bucks,
But now I can say I look good in a Tux.
The white of her dress mirrors that of a dove,
Or the large puffy clouds slowly floating above.
She glides down the aisle to stand at my side,
Anything she'll ever need I vow to provide.
When the preacher is finished we both say I do,
So now there is only one thing left to do.
As I lean forward to give her a kiss,
I hope to myself that Im ready for this.
Some years later I'm sitting down in a chair,
A baby girl on my lap with curly blonde hair.
She calls me her Daddy so I call her my Mia,
Then wraps around my neck like a flour tortilla.
I tell her I'll love her forever and ever,
No matter whenever or whatsoever.
Lying down on the couch so we can rest,
My heart skips a beat inside of my chest.
Cause as she leaned forward to give me a kiss,
I realized my life had been leading to this.
