The Two Faced Standard

Friends should love eachother,

Through any sort of weather.

Desire virtous and good tidings,

Perhaps offering unique guidings.

They should not ask of you

Things that are of suggestive cue.

For you are not an object for them,

But rather a precious diadem.

He may say, "Because I love you,"

But know that is this never true.

Such "friends" love themselves.

I should know, I have lived in denial.

I have denounced the deed and beared the trial.

Barely defeating the "friend" so called,

I felt my self worth savagely mauled.

A story never to told;

A girl never to bold.

All this "because I love you"

Said by a boy untrue.
