T'was the Night Before School

Wed, 08/26/2015 - 01:02 -- azsxw1

T'was the night before school, when all through houses
every student was typing, and moving their mouses.
Assignments incomplete being rushed without care,
with dread in there heart knowing school is near.

The children were crying knowing they are dead,
wish to be nestled all snug in their bed.
No one at peace all going to snap,
had just started our brains from a long summer's nap.

When out on the web there arose such a clatter,
they switched their web tab to see what's the matter.
looking in the window their minds had flash,
scrolling though the lines and text in a mash.

The pictures on the pages held there mind they know
gave the pausing of work to more below.
When, what to their wandering eyes should appear,
but a beautiful website, and everyone there.

With a move of the mouse, so lively and quick,
they knew in a moment it must have a click.
More rapid than eagles its content had came,
and they whistled, and shouted, and called this a name!

“Now Google! Now, Yahoo! Now, Facebook! Addicting!
On, YouTube! On, Twitter! On, on BlogSpot all sharing!
To the top of the porch a new picture on their wall
Now like away! Like away! Like away all!”

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
soon they meet with an obstacle much, much to high.
So they stay up on websites before the school's renew,
with a year full of work, and principals too.
