Nowadays, it’s hard to know what the truth is.

We have tampered with so much as seen

Our environment, plants, animals and even our bodies that

We are oblivious to what is real, what is true

We hide ourselves, put up facades of what we imagine ourselves to be

Who we think we are or who we ought to be

We try to put it off, away far from the eyes of another in the dark shadows

Yet we forget that there’s someone who knows all things, who sees all things.

From him we cannot hide, for he is Truth; really his name is Truth.

He is also called Light for in his presence nothing is hidden

And because he dwells within us, nothing in our lives can be hidden.

In his presence there is love righteousness, peace and judgment.

Why judgment? It is because it strips away all lies and deception, leaving only the truth.

In his presence, one cannot flee from the Truth

For it is in the air we breathe, the imagery, sound, and smell

One can even taste it in the atmosphere.

Then, there is a Freedom that settles in

It is as though weights are being lifted off your shoulders.

 At this time, the saying “The Truth Shall Set you free” comes to mind.

Meeting face to face with Truth turns things around in every aspect of our lives

It sheds light on every situation, problem and even relationship.

Truth is a jewel that should be sought by all; a relationship with truth is needed by all

Truth is no one else but our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

For with him in our lives, his truth, we have true freedom.
