Trust

Wed, 04/13/2016 - 23:24 -- tayakr

I never could live in a world with no trust. Where handshakes and smiles all tarnish to rust. When waking up early seems like the right thing to do, and backhanded comments come natural as dew. In a world without trust, I’d stand all alone, a phone in my hand with no ringtone. When trust has no meaning I will finally say, “giving up is easy, at least for today.” I live with the mindset that no one is wrong, and people no matter how bad can never do wrong. It’s only these thoughts that help me go on, in a world that’s been spinning for far too long. Trust gives me hope that it will be better today. That the world will keep spinning just one more day. That these handshakes and smiles won’t flake away. Because I know that tomorrow will be a better day.
