Truly, He Loves Dearly

Oh, how foolish the minds of man!

Whose search for fulfillment spreads across the land.

“Dear sir, why do you tarry so far and wide?”

“Why, I hunt for happiness in every stride.”

They cannot comprehend, nor do they know,

Already there is One who loves them so.

“Truly, can He love me so dearly?”

For sure you are endlessly loved!

He has declared you His masterpiece

Before the sparkling seas, and skies above.

Let these journeymen and wanderers hear

That there is One who has witnessed their every tear.

Walking beside them, track by track,

He alone can provide the joy they lack.

It will not be found by jumping, town to town,

Nor can it be achieved by lounging around.

“Truly, can He love me so dearly?”

For sure you are endlessly loved!

He has declared you His masterpiece

Before the sparkling seas, and skies above.

Oh, how blind these eyes of man!

Who cannot see what is in reach of their hand.

“Dear sir, what sort of happiness do you pursue?”

“Why, I long to find the one who will love me true,

And which I can truly love too.”

They cannot comprehend, nor do they know,

Already there is One who loves them so.
