To the Traveler

It was the chance of a lifetime
To explore a far away world
Filled with endless possibilities

To finally live life
instead of wishing she did
to find herself and renew her
faith, morals and values
to connect with people who
showed vulnerability and courage

To learn a new language and dive in
Fearlessly and without hesitation
The experience, memories, people
Priceless, forever life changing

The comfort zone evaporated
The chains linked to home broken
her wingspan grew
She could move now, she could fly.

The world was in
The palm of her hands
And her journey had
Only just begun.
