***Title has been censored***

Our darknesses we hide behind our veil

I must defend that my words are not for sale

My mind is held independent and under cover

From this deep repression I can not recover

Censorship, where my thoughts have been lost

Know not our leaders the true cost?

Freedom of speech, I must preach

A founding liberty we must always teach

Our beloved poetry we must protect

As the villains of suppression we must detect

From the tree from which I’ve grown

To other poets I do not loan

We know we must be self-sustained

To alleviate this forced pain

Only through poetry I know my words can be free

But only if we preserve our precious poetry tree

This poem is about:
Me
My country
