Times

Sun, 08/16/2020 - 23:57 -- Cattew

I want to go back in time

when I used to be free from cares

and Mother would hold me close.

I remember when we came

to that brand new world, America,

that sang of hope and freedom.

Give me back the love we shared

when Daddy would hold me in the air

and I'd laugh 'till my sides burst.

Let us go back to when

we had no obligations and

you never said goodbye.

Simpler times were those,

and they're the times I miss the most.
