When I was a child you held me tight,
but now it's time for me to say good bye.
I'll miss the way you kissed me good night,
and how you woke me up by just turning on one light.
I will also say that your cooking was grand,
and you will never lose me as a fan.
I can even say I will the arguments we had,
and those times when you made me so mad.
But now it's time for you to let me go,
and let me live my own life in this world.
I will always be your sweet little girl,
and I hope you understand that it is time for me to go.
