Time embraces the world with light,
And sets the sun for an inky black night,
It can be the stitch for a broken heart,
Or a sharp steel blade that cuts life apart.
It coats Earth with white, and makes trees bare,
A harsh cold wind cutting through crisp air:
Time makes the wind a warm summer breeze,
Thick green leaves grow on once bare trees.
A once small child is now mature and wise
What talent he has, but increased have his lies.
That baby is learning to sit in her chair,
And now burdened she sits, wrinkled and despaired.
Money can't buy you time, young ones,
Live for today and have some fun.
Poor or rich we'll all be in a grave,
The greatest people will one day decay.
Already these words fade away,
As you start thinking about the next day.
Time is immortal but you are not my friend,
Just like these words you will one day end.
