Time

Had you a chance

To go back in time,

Which moment would you choose?

To change or rewind…

You could right a wrong

You could fix a mistake,

You could even possibly

Change a loved one’s fate.

It’s a bittersweet notion

We have no control,

Time is the most precious commodity

That we can never own.

At times we waste it

Never to be regained,

So we live with regrets

We live with the pain.

Seconds, minutes, hours

They all seem so few,

Years, decades, millenniums

Move on without me and you.

We have to hold on

To the time we have left,

Life is too short

To waste another breath.

This precious life we’re given

Should be greatly appreciated,

It should be lived to its fullest

Not sad and underrated.

Enjoy each moment today

We may not have tomorrow,

Be happy for your blessings

Forget about your sorrows.
