Time

Tick—Tock

Tick—Tock

This clock moves on

it never stops

while time goes on

the clock ticks and tocks

It keeps ticking on

whether it's night or day

it doesn't matter

it ticks on anyways

We plead with it to stop for a while

we want time to play

or more time to dream

we want time to stop so we might sit and stay

We beg it go faster

when it's hours of work and we cannot play

when it's time for unpleasant things

we don't wish to work, we just wish to play

But the clock doesn't care

how much we beg, how much we plead

it keeps ticking and moving

with not change in speed

We don't have enough time

at least that's how it feels

but we never know how much time we have

until the time that we had is gone and is past

No matter how hard we try

we can't change time
