'Til Death Do Us Part

Location

United States
Love is true,
Love is kind,
Love is supposed to make you,
leave your ex's behind.

Yet, there she stands,
as your lips,
like a red rose,
plant soft seeds on her cheek.

And I stand there,
so immobile,
that if you tapped me,
I would crumble.

The violet rose petals
fall from from my eyes
running past my heart,
hitting the floor,
like thunder strikes the sky.

While still,
my soul begins to die.
Crying out,
but goes unheard.
Seeking for your eyes,
but you hide.

And I wonder,
was I so repulsive,
that once we were together,
you could forget everything we built,
and had to go find someone else?

But I thought what we had was permanent.
That not even God himself
could brake what we had.

But I was wrong,
I was fooled by you.

You know they say,
Darkness comes before dawn,
but that dawn,
I may not see.

I hold this knife in my hand,
my pain reliever.

You see there's this game I play,
where I make a cut,
for every lie you tell.

And this time,
I'm aiming for that place where
my heart is supposed to be.

On the inside
all of these feelings collide
ANGER, like a sea of fire
that wont stop burning.
DECEIT like the man
who thought he gonna get out of jail today.
PAIN, like the girl
who tries to get up,
but they keep stomping her down,
OVER AND OVER.

I WISH it was over.

All of this,
is too much for me.
BUT DO YOU EVEN CARE?

I sometimes wondered,
if you ever loved me,
as much as I love you.

I said I'll do anything for you,
you said prove it,
show me your worth it,
I said I will.

So I take this
Cold
Sharp,
Steel
as it pierces through my flesh,
exposing all the hidden pain I kept inside,
and even the pieces of me
that thought that you were the one.

And I give my heart to you,
because as i said,
all along,
I'd die for you.
