Three times

Three times the grandfather clock rings

Three times my heart skips a beat

In your presence, Three times

Three times I wish to kiss you
Once under the moon, once as the sun rises, and once as you fall asleep while we lay next to one another

Three times the grandfather clock rings

Three times reminding me of how and when I fell for you;

A rush of adrenalin through my veins, a sincere conversation between us, and an irrevocable connection formed in a glance between our eyes

Three times the grandfather clock rings, waking me from my daydream
Dreaming of you and me….
Only three ways this could end; good, bad, or not at all

Three times the grandfather clock rings as if there’s no time at all

Three times for three chimes, that accounts for three long seconds

Three long seconds to say three words

Three little words that I’ve only meant three times

Yet, those three times the same words were never heard

Three times for three words

I Love You
