Thinking About You

Thinking About You  Love is what I think about when I think about you  Not lies, not pain, just gain You helped me to remember how to say my own name To look in the mirror and love who I am  Not yelling just telling  Not whining just fighting Fighting for something we both believed in That it doesn’t matter what size   What height or what race you are  Love is beautiful  Just the way you are   Because you loved me I’ll never be the same again You showed me that I am worthy to be taken out on a date  That I should never be called out of my name That I am beautiful in every single way   You showed me that sex Is not a toy That my body is more than gum  That guys' chew, spit out and lick with their tongue You held me when I cried  Told me that everything was going to be alright  Your arms are safety to me   Because you loved me  You went away Because you loved me You kept me safe I never did get to say the way I loved you Because you loved me…  No, wait, because I love you  Because I love you explains who I am today  Because I love you I’m sitting here writing these words  I would never get the chance to say  Because I love you I think about you Every Single Day
