Thine Sweet Innocence Sonnet
Location
Your words sound as sweet as the morning dew
and yet thy words play with my gentle heart
too innocent to unveil what flew through
thy humbling failures cast us apart
A small bird I am doth sing my tune
to bring healing wings and light for thy way
darkness doth my mellow tune obscure soon
if thine kind heart favors my love at pay
Thy foolish scenes surround my empty life
Days scarred with glooms of agony
Marked by no special delight or grief or struggle
Burdens too small for thine pure heart to guess
But thine innocence seems fairest of fair
and thy sweet melody marks our love rare
