Then and Now

Who are you? Who is this? This person I see now
Use to be a good friend of mine but changed, how?
Got mixed up with some people as we got older.
It’s not like the good times, now I’m given the cold shoulder

I see you around and all I do is shake my head.
You know you shouldn’t be that way, and you know what’s being said.
They call you names and you got the rep of an infamous celebrity.
You laugh it off but I know you ask yourself “Is this me?”

The known saying that some people say they will never be like that, what a story.
But look at you now everything you said you wouldn’t be, your life is contradictory.
But that’s alright cause you will one day realize that they, your “so called” friends, they temporary.
Since I met you you know im the real thing, im not a copy.
I said that for real, not the same ol’ song,
But I guess you don’t what you have til its gone.
