Thank You

On a day in late May, it was set
This is the first day you and I ever met
Back then I knew how important you would be
That's why I always needed you to comfort me
You're value is worth more than just one day
I owe you a debt that I simply can't pay
And mom, I know my head can get pretty thick
But you taught me things that will always stick
You taught me life lessons that will never go away
This is why you're rewarded with this special day
And mom do you remember all the great times we had
Remember when I spilled that ice water all on dad
Remember all those birthday parties, those were cool
Remember all the long talks we had after school
Remember when I sat in the passenger, music in the car
There are so many memories that go back very far
Don't think I'm not grateful, that's simply not true
I'm forever blessed with a mom that's as great as you
The day we met: May 28, 1998
And the things you've done, I can't compensate
To explain you're impact on me, I wouldn't have the time
I'm always on your side, because I know you're on mine
Well, I guess there's not much more for me to say
Mom, I want to wish you a Happy Mothers Day
Wait, there's one more thing that i have to do
Mom, from the bottom of my heart I want to say Thank You.
