Tell Me

Tell me:

Do you ever think back?

Can you remember me?

If you can't recall, will you please

Tell me your secret,

Because I can't forget you.

Your love ran like poison through my blood

Stained my heart,

Forever marked my soul.

So how am I,

Supposed to let you go?

I wake up in the middle of the night

Still reaching for your hand,

Screaming out your name.

I want to wish I had you back,

But I can't even wish you'd never left.

The happy memories,

Can't outwiegh the pain

Of discovering

Your betrayal.

So instead I'll hope your happy,

And pray you don't do again what you did to me.

Tell me:

What went wrong?

How did I let you believe nobody cared?

When did you decide,

I wasn't worth the trying,

That it was easier dying?

Now we both live

with the scars you inflicted.

And you won't even speak to

Tell me,

Why?
