You may know me.
I'm the kid that most people know.
Good grades
many friends
everything seems to be going perfectly.

Except for the sadness.
the Feelings of never being good enough.
I try.
I try, I try.
I try so hard
that the streams from eye
just can't be ignored.
because it's a sign of Weakness
Of giving up.
Of not willing yourself, that extra step to being proud of all you've done.

Incomplete.

I am a fragment.
A fragment. Never finishing, slightly.
Confused.
I don't know where to fit
where to be
never fit
just to see-
My potential.

That gem in a stream
that can change the poorest of men
to the boldest of kings.
That's me.
I can shine
I can glow.
I can change the world!
With some help, you know.

I see the light
that glows in the future.
But the damned thing's so small
with all this darkness around it.
It'll always be there
the darkness, that is.
Creeping in from the edges,
always being there
when things were just too happy.

I'm just a teen,
"What do you know?", exclaim adults.
But it's the teens that are never seen,
that continue their dreams.
