Taming the Beast

My mind is a ferocious beast

That feeds off of dismal and harrowing memories.

Oh no, is it time for the feast?

It feels as if I am deceased.

The monster putting my mental state in jeopardy,

My mind is a ferocious beast.

I think I need to be exorcised by a priest,

Or maybe I need to be locked up in a penitentiary?

Oh no, is it time for the feast?

I want to put an end to everyone’s misery at least.

The thing thrives off of treachery.

My mind is a ferocious beast.

While I just want to be released,

The animal has been lingering around for centuries.

Oh no, is it time for the feast?

The creature possessed my mind, while my mental health tried to police.

Someone please obliterate the erratic thoughts from my memory,

My mind is a ferocious beast.

Oh no, is it time for the feast?
