Talk About Differences

Fri, 06/20/2014 - 02:04 -- k.stew

You are not who I think you are,
Nor am I who I'm supposed to be.
So who are we really?

Reality changes constantly for me,
But for you it's set in stone.
Am I right, or wrong, or in between?

Cold truths and warm lies,
Unwanted pitted against pleasing.
Who judges which is which?

I put my trust in science,
You put your trust in God.
Yet both of us are still happy.

It is our differences that bring us together,
And our ignorance that rips us apart.
I'll still here and so are you,
So why can't we just talk?
I won't argue with you,
If you don't argue with me.
