Take From This What You Will

There was a moment – a break if you will – and perhaps it was vital. \ To me or to you. To us. \ Perhaps not vital in the sense in the testament in whether we continue to breathe, but in the way of the burning of bridges that lay between then and now. \ There won’t be any repetition of the sorrow. \ Their will only be the separation between you and I and whatever has fallen in between.  \ Because I am not your sickness; \ I am not your sickness’s next victim.
