Story of a Grandfather

On this night you were set free
Heavens newest angle you would be
I'm left only with your memory
Words cannot express what you mean to me
From the balcony of heaven I know you'll see
What kind of man I will be

I can't thank you enough
You were there when times were tough
Always knew how to make me laugh
You taught me how to be a man
You were my dad because he wasn't around

Sometimes looking at the sky
Makes me want to cry
Because life is no longer the same
I wouldn't have it any other way
Until we met again
Rest in peace my friend
