A STATISTIC

I am  supposed to be statistic right.....

I am supposed to be that girl with out a  father to care for her

I am supposed to fail in life because of where i lay my head

I am supposed to do drugs,go to jail, have sex, get pregnant, and live off the government for the rest of my short life

i am  supposed to do all these things and prove everyone right right....

Thats funny..... cause  I am doing the exact  opppsite of that

I AM that girl without a father but is still fighting against the cliche statistic that is above my head

I am  breaking down barriers that have been placed in front me

I am an educated, sophisticated, caring, loved african american woman

i am LELANI CRUMP. not a statistic
