Star

High and bright in the sky.

Girl you always there to light up my night.

So unique in the way you're made.

So beautiful in your ever glowing ways.

Always there for people to make wishes.

Blue-Black sky, with a thousand white kisses.

But could you cuddle me at night? Keep away all the bad?

Wipe my tears when I'm sad?

Make me laugh to keep from being mad?

Forgive my past?

Or treat me better than those I already had?

Could you really make wishes come true?

Cause girl I'll put a thousand wishes on you.

Watching over me all night and day, I'll give up anything to make you stay.

What more can I say?

Shining star I can't grab because you're too far to play.

Please don't go away.

I'll love you always. Make the day leave and let the night stay.

I come to you in dismay.

My heart's a ball of clay.

And it's all yours for you to hold.

Yours for you to mold.

All my secrets that have never been told.

Worth more than silver and gold.

For all the money in the world, my all's been sold.

So twinkle twinkle, little star.

I wish I could be where you are.
