Spooky

This is the season where you show the people around you how much you care by scaring them,

And while it can be a trick for others, it is certainly a treat for some.

The black cats are crawling all around the city waiting to find their prey,

And the bats come out at night, and are sleeping away during the day.

The zombies are lurking around every corner that you turn,

And as the sun goes down, the festivities are just beginning as the fire starts to burn.

After the sun sets, and the dark night fills the air and the full moon comes into view,

The people start to fill with fright as they try to figure out what to do.

The brooms suddenly go missing as the witches start to fly into the night,

And the vampire fangs are covered with blood as they continue to look for something to bite.

The goblins and ghosts are floating around, trying to scare the people of the town,

And people are filled with fear as they start to see their way down.

The jack-o-lanterns are lit to provide some light for the scary evening ahead,

And it is a time that the young children on the block start to dread.

With the full moon lighting up the dark sky, you can hear the werewolves start to howl,

And the lamp post is topped with the watcher of the midnight owl.

The clowns start to roam the areas up ahead,

And the individuals who have coulrophobia suddenly start to wish that they were dead.

One by one the balloons start to float across the midnight, filling it up with colors of red, blue, and green,

And then it hits you, that this is all because it is Halloween.
