You and I

were forever together.

or we were supposed to be, at least.

My heart was connected

to yours by a red hot wire,

but yours was just  autumn love.

The summer quickly passed,

skipped fall,

and turned into a bitter winter’s past.

I loved you.

You loved me,

or so you thought.

You told me that your love

was sweet, fruitful and endless.

Why would you lie?

You hate liars,

and I honestly love you.

Do you think I'm lying

When i say the words that leak from my heart

I love you.

I need you.

I want you.

I crave you

I hate you

for not giving me a chance

to fall out of love before you

dripped like the IV in my arm

and began to love someone else.

Do you care that i cant?

If you cant,

Thats alright.

That IV whispers soothing music and I

Will always

Love you.
