SPARE ME

Do not ask me about love
Do not tell me about it
I don’t want to know
Because am not interested in it
It’s beyond my comprehension.

Do not be nice to me
Do not stare into my eyes
Do not give me that smile
Do not beckon me
I don’t want to know about it.

But when I have learnt about love
When I have known what it is
I shall return to stare into your eyes
I shall smile back at you
I shall tell you how much I care for you
And embrace you as my emperor
That day, when I have learnt about love
The whole World shall know
That indeed, I have learnt to love
And am in love with you.

For now, spare me
Do not stare into my eyes
Do not smile at me
Do not beckon me
When I begin to love
I shall never cease loving you
And there will be no turning back
Just spare me.
