A harmonious treat

I don't make it

I can't play it

Well actually I can sing

but mostly listening to music is my thing

There's a type for every mood

depressed, distraught, or even ready to feud

I just hit that button that says play

and the music can take all my pain away

I let it soak into my skin, my being

and before you know it, smiles are the only thing people around me are seeing

Yes, music is that one thing in my life that never fails

with its many forms and shapes and mysterious veils

I can always find a new song to bring me joy

even if my day has been one big, horrible ploy

I only wish that everyone has something this perfect,

something like music, that can make all the struggles worth it
