Song of MYself

Location

Pride Court
United States

I belong to myself and only to myself

While it is a great responsibility, I proudly take it on.

I, now twenty-years-old in perfect physical health

Need to remember this when darkness envelopes my mental state

Refusing to cease until death.

As Adam was formed of the dirt, and I of his rib, I am one with creation.

No more important than a blade of grass, but not less significant

For everything has its purpose.

Every emotion, I feel it fully.

There is no kind of, only passion.

Happiness, sadness, love, hate,

They all overtake me, drowning me in myself.

I believe in you, my soul.

You are strong enough to take it.

For you are made of the same as this very earth.

While forces both human and non have tried thier best to destroy you, neither of you have faltered.

Oh, rest my soul, for I know you are weary.

Remain kind, remain hopeful, remain loyal, remain.

Stay simple and keep on,

For the fire in your passion is what causes you to shine.
