Sometimes

Location

Sometimes it's hard to remember,

All the reasons I should respect her,

All the things she's done on my behalf,

When she couldn't smile or even imagine a laugh,

When I am angry and I've gone mad,

I can't remember the times she had,

When the road was plain and simple to see,

But she took the treacherous one for me,

I know if it weren't for her and her love,

I wouldn't have the life that I have,

And the life that's stretched in front of me,

Would be darker without her shining beauty,

Sometimes it's hard to remember,

All the reasons I should respect her,

But I respect her because I love her,

And I love her because she's my mother.
