The Somber Future

If I were a color, I’d be grey

Soul no longer dictated, but not yet light

If I were real, I’d be okay

I’d speak, but I have too much to say

Unlimited imagination is my height

If I were a color, I’d be grey

Too weak to stand, not allowed to lay

If I were strong I’d be your knight

If I were real I’d be okay

The world is receding, too tired to stay

The world with color- was an incredible sight

If I were a color, I’d be grey

Violence and hate are not the way

Peace and love are the greatest might

If I were real, I’d be okay

I no longer wish, nor do I pray

Oh I wish it was worth the fight

If I were a color I’d be grey

If I were real I’d be okay
