Snowflakes

My mind is like a kaleidoscope that shifts and sparkles

Then freezes in place

Not so beautiful anymore

My fears are snowflakes

Little and inconsequential alone

But powerful and strong together

Slowing my pace to a heartrending trudge

The beauty is in the movement

But I am so still

Not beautiful

Not ugly

Just unnoticed

I am a grey stone at the side of the road
