Snowflakes

Snowflakes,

Moments are like snowflakes. Each and every one unique and individual.

Snowflakes, much like moments and memories, are so unique that you will never, ever

find two snowflakes that look alike.

In the same way, every moment is unforgettable but you have it for only one second,

then the next it is gone.

And these moments last like snowflakes on an early winter’s day.

You know they are there, that you will never see them again.

But you ignore that.

You ignore the fact that you are wasting these moments like they are worthless, but

they're not.

And you know that too.

They are the most meaningful things that you will ever get because you can only spend money once, drink that sip of water once, break your first bone once, watch that single wave crash once.

And from all of this, you learn that you can only do something

for the first time once.

It is a moment taken for granted, and no one notices it happening until it already has and then, just like

snowflakes, the moments collect and make snow banks of hours and days.

They join together like a film you will one day watch again and laugh at, or cry at,

or even hate.

But the memorable moments are the ones that you will have, that will stick with you

forever.

They will shape you, they will mold you, into the person you will be.

And even when you are gone someone else will remember your snowflakes, and make

them theirs.

And no matter what they felt, they will be thankful because they are thinking of you.

You were important enough for them to think about.

That's because moments last like snowflakes on an early winter's day.

You know they are there, and that you will never see them again.

But you live.

And you breathe.

Because someday these snowflake moments will make someone

think of you.
