Small By the Sea

Location

Your eyes distant

And as deep as the blue sea

On sandy steps we watch

The waves curl and break

We are captivated by our past

The salty air surrounds us

The reminiscent words you whisper

Soothing as the crash of waves

The time falls away

As the sun sinks below the water

I feel your hand grasp mine

And the ocean is not so big

This poem is about:
Our world
