I've yet to see the light of day.

"Animals don't feel", they always say.

I grew up, not loved and overfed.

Just so my meat can be placed between two slices of bread.

What did I do to deserve this,

To be raised in this abyss?

To be abused by a soulless beeing,

One whose life is not worth seeing.

I can feel, I carry emotion.

I long for the day someone can give me devotion.

I lost my child, for he didn't grow

Up to the size of Mount. Rushmore.

They're redirecting us out of the slaughterhouse,

These people should be taken to a courthouse.

I'm rushed down the assembly line,

Headed by workers with a big waistline.

My life was nothing but torture

Not to mention a scorcher.

If you're humanitarian,

Then please go vegetarian.
