Sings The Caged Bird- Inspired by Maya Angelou

She flies too high, sings the cages bird

Her wings are too wide

There is no fear in her eyes

She flies too high, sings the cages bird

Her wings are too wide

There is no fear in her eyes

I searched but there is no disguise, sings the caged bird

She should stop before she flops, sings the cage bird

She is far too brave

She needs to behave

I see her part, it’s already paved, sings the cages bird

No that is not strength, sings the cages bird

That is nothing but stupidity

But it’s better you than me

Life was not meant to be lived free, sings the cages bird

As the cage bird sings

freely against the free.I searched but there is no disguise, sings the caged bird

She should stop before she flops, sings the cage bird

She is far too brave

She needs to behave

I see her part, it’s already paved, sings the cages bird

No that is not strength, sings the cages bird

That is nothing but stupidity

But it’s better you than me

Life was not meant to be lived free, sings the cages bird

As the cage bird sings

 freely against the free.
