The Silent Snow

The wind does blow on a cold winter night,

But this night, no one listens.

The snow drifts softly upon the grass,

But there are no feet to tread upon it.

Time does not stop, and time does not slow,

But the world has halted in its tracks.

A silence overtakes the land,

But the lone rabbit hops out from its den.

The rabbit knows the world has changed,

But he knows he must keep on breeding.
