Silent Ones

Location

Though loud they revert to mumbles

All through the night their words rumbles

Their tales a story referenced

Only to the wise do they give preference

Their thoughts I want to ravage

Because they promise wisdom only I can pillage

But their lives are like smokescreen

Difficult to penetrate I want to scream

Oh silent ones

What would I do to get your wands?

Like the village shaman

They stand tall like Haman

Proud, vain oblivious of the rain

Around them the spirits drain

The very thoughts I want to gain

I stand in anger

Looking around me as wisdom come asunder

Their brilliance going under

Oh! Silent ones!

What I would give to hear your words?

My eyes fill with tears

About and around me my fears

Of losing that which only me cares

Knowing fully well they don’t share

Oh! I shout at them in defiance

Praying they at least give me one chance

To have more than just a glance

At the knowledge, famous shaman dance

Oh silent ones

What would I give to hear your words?
