Sick Humor

It’s funny how fast the time can fly.

Together, it was always me and you,

I always thought I’d get to say goodbye.

When we were kids we loved to play outside,

You’d play with your toy sheep and make him moo,

It’s funny how fast the time can fly.

You could always tell the truth from my lies,

No one will ever know me like you knew,

I always thought I’d get to say goodbye.

On the swings we were so close to the sky,

Without my best friend I don’t have a clue,

It’s funny how fast the time can fly.

When you called last I shouldn’t have pressed decline,

I shouldn’t have taken my anger out on you,

I always thought I’d get to say goodbye.

You’re gone forever and now I’m asking why,

For some reason, I thought you’d never die,

I always thought I’d get to say goodbye,

It’s funny how fast the time can fly.
