Show Don't Tell

On these type of days I’ve always felt nothing could make it easier.

But since I met him, my worst have become bests in his company.

I can’t quite synthesize what my “problem” is today.

My line of vision merely skimmed his room and suddenly it began to blur

as tears fell from my eyes.

A hand grazed my cheek and feathering thumbs wiped the mess of me away.

Lifting my chin, his lips found my nose,

and his voice cracked as he reassured me of his presence.

His eyes were wide with a sense of compassion.

But confusion still settled into his brow.

I knew understanding would be a stretch for him,

but his actions create a net that always catches me when I fall.
