She who is a shell

Location

I watched her as she faded away.
She may not have noticed,
But I did.
Her face hollow,
Her eyes blank,
Her hands so fragile and small.
Her mind tormented by the outside world,
So she escaped into her own.
In her mind everything was sacred.
Everything is just as it was the day before,
Nothing changes.
The monsters that once chased her
Are merely a faint memory in the most distant part of her mind
She doesn't notice anything anymore.
She just replays the same motions over and over again.
She's been this way as long as I could remember.
