SHE
She often likes to pretend she’s some made up character in a movie. Just so she can escape from the reality of herself.
She has so many flaws that when she looks in the mirror all she sees are the cracks and the scars.
Despite the people that tell her she’s a beauty, her deepest desire is to look like someone else.
Because she can never overcome the layer of skin that society says is far from perfect.
And as if a smaller waist or a better complexion may make her feel more confident, she is far from it.
She hangs off the edge of a cliff wanting to jump into a person she envisions to be.
And although she has a loving family that says she’s perfect the way she is, she can’t believe.
She tries so hard to see the true beauty that comes from her heart.
But as if her personality isn't enough to get any ones attention, she will forever remain a conversation that will take her to a deeper depression.
Because no one knows what she goes through.
She tries to persuade herself to think that her mind likes to play tricks and that there not true.
But every day, she finds herself on the battlefield dogging grenades and landmines that are put there for her to blow.
And she doesn't want to ever show her feelings because in her mind, that's not what a soldier is supposed to do.
Every time she eats she wants to dispose of the food she consumed because how can she be "beautiful" if she looks like she belongs in a zoo?
There's so much pain and so little love.
She wants to look like a model with a beautiful face and long hair. But her reflection only shows the marks that have built up to this day.
She wants them so bad to go away, but she knows there forever there to stay.
She cries herself to sleep every night thinking of what could have been.
A day in the life of a girl who's confidence shines from within.
But that will never be her.
She remains an unspoken voice in the background that will never be heard.
She longs and hungers for peace that may heal her broken heart.
As if she was a piece of used chewed up gum that gets pulled apart.
She wants to believe that she’s an inspiration by her words of communication,
But how can she when so many turned their backs and left her stranded by herself?
With nowhere else to hide, she struggles with the decision of living in hell or suicide.
Because she never felt special in any kind of way, and maybe if someone really cared, she would stay.
To this Earth called home.
Because to her, its just not worth it to be miserable and alone.
She juggles the thoughts of a future that may someday pull through. But with the luck she has, there’s only one way to know the validity of the truth.
To live
