Jeremy Fruechting, a faithful friend to those who know him,
was commissioned on an challenging task, creating life on a dead campus.
That blessed man looked as others labored, but they did not have the Lord,
so their work was wasted, but Jeremy knew the Lord would use him.
The valiant leader preached Truth to souls, praying God would bring life.
And our God is gracious, granting that faithful man’s great request.
Do not store treasure on earth, but in heaven, says the Lord.
Treasure in heaven the Leader stored bountifully, the souls of students.
Many will sing on the Great Day, thanks to the servant of the Savior.
But now that his work is done here he does not say, “I have done enough,”
No, the valiant servant will cross the waters, seeking foreign souls,
so that every tribe tongue and nation will praise the Lord.
